# StoreVitals > StoreVitals is shop intelligence for Etsy sellers who already run a shop. It connects to the seller's own Etsy shop with read-only access, and optionally their Google Analytics, and turns their orders, fees, listings and traffic into a regular shop review: see what happened, choose the next move, and learn whether it worked. ## What it does - **See what happened.** Revenue after Etsy's actual ledger fees and the seller's recorded costs, with cost coverage shown beside profit. Period comparisons break a revenue change into price, volume and product mix, and findings name the listings behind it: declining earners, concentration risk, review changes, momentum. - **Understand one listing.** Its sales beside Etsy's view counter or measured Google Analytics visits on the same days; what it actually sold for against its list price; new and returning buyers; reviews; traffic sources and countries; and listing-to-listing comparison over the same period. - **Choose the next move.** Recommended actions for this week and the next two, each with its effort, its evidence and a labelled estimate where one is supportable. The seller decides what to change; StoreVitals never edits a listing. - **Learn whether it worked.** Every detected listing edit (price, title, tags, photos, description) is recorded from connection. Later performance is compared with the rest of the shop over the same dates, and the result is stated plainly: Helped, Hurt, No clear effect, Too early, Not enough data or Can't isolate. A comparison, not proof of cause. - **Improve each listing.** Listing Vitals checks active listings against Etsy's published guidance, linking every check to its source. Completeness and Performance stay separate; priorities reflect each listing's needs. Checks are free. Essentials adds shop comparisons and change results; Advisor adds AI drafts from the monthly allowance; Studio adds patterns and export. The seller applies changes on Etsy. - **Ask the shop.** Shop Assistant answers plain-language questions from computed figures and shows the sources it used. It drafts titles, tags and descriptions for the seller to review. ## How it treats data - Read-only Etsy connection; nothing is published to Etsy. - Money always comes from Etsy records. Google Analytics adds visits, sources and engagement, and is optional: sales, fees and Etsy's view counter work without it. It cannot recover visits from before tracking was set up. - Nothing about a seller's shop is estimated from other shops. Public Etsy search observations are labelled as a sample, not a universal rank. - Missing data, estimates and inconclusive results stay visible; an estimated opportunity is not a promise of sales. Review ratings and dates are used, never stored buyer review text. - It does not identify which visitor placed an order. ## What it is not Not a keyword-research or product-discovery tool, and not an estimate of other sellers' sales. It reads the seller's own shop. ## Who built it Shourabh Modak, an Etsy seller in Australia with more than 20 years in data engineering, architecture and AI.
