Where do the checks come from?
Etsy’s Seller Handbook and search-ranking disclosure. Each check links to its Etsy source, so you can read the guidance behind it. Listing Vitals applies that published guidance to your active listings.
How does it use my best listings?
With Essentials, compare details such as photo count with your own best-converting listings when enough are available. If they tend to use more photos, that’s a pattern worth considering for this listing. It doesn’t show that photos caused their results or promise the same outcome.
Why does my best seller still have gaps?
The checklist measures completeness; buyers respond to the offer. A listing can sell well without meeting every check. Listing Vitals points out that difference and shows only blocking issues in its priorities for a listing that’s working.
Does it work without Google Analytics?
Yes. Completeness checks use your Etsy listing details. Performance can use Etsy’s view counter alongside orders when Google Analytics isn’t connected. Without Google Analytics, a listing that attracts attention but few orders gets guidance about the listing page, without separating price from presentation.
Will StoreVitals change my listings?
No. StoreVitals uses read-only access. You choose what to change and apply it on Etsy. The next sync notices the edit. Advisor can suggest titles, tags and description openings for you to review, using your monthly listing-drafts allowance.
What is free and what needs a paid plan?
Starter includes checks, Completeness, traffic lights and priorities for every active listing. Essentials adds comparisons with your best listings and results from eligible changes. Advisor adds AI title, tag and description-opening suggestions from your monthly listing-drafts allowance. Studio adds patterns across eligible changes and an export.
How do I know a change helped?
With Essentials, eligible changes are compared with the rest of your shop over the same dates. Results are Helped, Hurt, No clear effect, Too early to tell, Not enough data or Can’t isolate. Limited data or overlapping edits can prevent a clear result. The comparison cannot prove that your edit caused the outcome.
